Refund Policy
Nothing on Waterlogged is for sale any more, but this policy stands for everyone who bought a report while it was: if it was not what you needed, ask within 7 days and you get your money back.
Version 2026-08-01-payments · applies to the one-time report fee paid at the time of purchase · why nothing is on sale
The 7-day rule
You may request a full refund of the one-time report fee you paid within 7 days of purchase, for any reason and without explaining it. We do not ask why, and a refund is not conditional on whether your cruise sailed, was changed, or was cancelled.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Where payment was taken by card, the money leaves us immediately and typically appears on your statement within five to ten business days depending on your bank — that part is not in our control.
Nothing here renews. A Waterlogged report is bought once, for one sailing; there is no subscription to cancel and no second charge to stop.
How to ask
Send your retrieval code — the WL-XXXX-XXXX code shown when you
bought the report and printed on your receipt — to
the customer contact configured for this build ([customer contact — set WATERLOGGED_LEGAL_EMAIL])
with the word "refund" in the subject. No form, no account, and no phone call.
We will confirm in writing. If we cannot refund a request — because it falls outside the 7 days, or because the order cannot be matched — we will say which, and why, in the same reply.
After 7 days
Outside the window we will still look at a request where the service did not do what this site said it does — for example a report that could not be produced for your sailing, a duplicate charge, or a purchase made for the wrong sailing that was not used. Those are handled case by case rather than by policy, and the answer is given in writing.
Your statutory rights are not affected
This policy is offered in addition to the rights you have by law, and nothing on this page limits, replaces or waives them. Depending on where you live, consumer legislation may give you cancellation, refund or remedy rights that are stronger than this policy or that apply for longer — including distance-selling cancellation rights, statutory guarantees about services being provided with reasonable care and skill, and the protections described in the Terms of Use. Where the law gives you more, the law applies.
A refund of the report fee is the refund of a report fee. It is not compensation for a cruise change, a cancelled sailing, an insurance decision or any other loss — Waterlogged is an information service and is not the operator, the insurer or the carrier.

This build's checkout is simulated and takes no payment, so there is currently nothing to refund. The policy is published now because it must be in force — and readable before the button — on the day the first real payment is taken.
