Operator documents

Emerald Cruises

We read this line's published material and recorded what it does and does not settle. The documents themselves are linked below — read those, not this page.

What we established

  • Named disruption programme found: yes — River Cruise Cover
  • Terms differ by booking market: yes, on the evidence read
  • Confidence in that finding: confirmed
  • Last checked: 2026-08-01

Scenic is in the same group but its current trigger wording and published figures are not interchangeable with Emerald's. Each brand and booking market must be read separately.

What we could not establish:

  • Exact currency and amount for US/CA/AU-region bookings (every fetch attempt rendered GBP, including the '/US/en-US/' URL path)
  • Whether a refund-of-unused-remainder is an explicit passenger election right or only an implicit reading of 'extended disruption' wording
  • Documentation requirements for a passenger to support or dispute Emerald's own disrupted-day count

Operator policies change without notice and differ by booking market and contract version. Waterlogged does not calculate your refund, credit, hotel entitlement or insurance payout, and does not determine cancellation rights or legal remedies. Read the operator's own documents and the terms attached to your booking, and do not cancel pre-emptively on the strength of river data alone.

Four questions worth asking your operator or agent:

  1. Which dated regional contract and disruption-program version applies to my booking?
  2. What does that document say for this specific itinerary change, and who decides whether it applies?
  3. What are the consequences if I cancel or reject a proposed change before the operator acts?
  4. What notice, evidence and deadline does the current document require, and where must it be sent?

Mandatory consumer rights in your own jurisdiction are separate from anything an operator's programme says, and are not summarised here.
