Write about a sailing you are watching, a question about where a number on this site comes from, or something you think we have got wrong. Tell us the ship or the river and the date you are asking about, and we can usually answer in one reply instead of three.

If your sailing is not listed on this site, there is a form that asks the right questions: add your sailing. If you book cruises for other people, start at for travel advisors; if you publish sailings, at for cruise lines.

We read everything that arrives. A small team answers, and it usually takes up to two business days. A busy week takes longer, and we would rather say so here than promise you an hour we cannot keep.

If a number looks wrong, tell us

We would rather hear it from you than leave it standing. Say which page you were reading, what the site showed you, and what you expected instead. Most of what reaches us turns out to be a correction to a source, and that is faster to fix than to argue about.

A correction can change what a page says without the river changing at all. What these numbers can and cannot be used for is set out in Limits & data sources, where every reading comes from is in the source matrix, and who we are and why we are independent of every cruise line is on about us.

What we cannot answer

We cannot tell you what a cruise line will decide about your sailing, read your booking documents for you, or give travel, legal, insurance or financial advice. Where a question turns on your own booking, ask the operator in writing and keep the answer. Waterlogged River Cruise Watch is independent, and no cruise line, insurer, water authority or data portal named on this site has endorsed it.

What happens to what you send

Your message and the address it came from are kept so that we can answer you and follow the conversation if it continues. The address is not added to any mailing list and is not used for marketing. Waterlogged River Cruise Watch does not sell personal information.

A note sent from the form on this page is kept on the same terms, and for no longer than 180 days. The only personal information in it is the email address, and that field is optional — a note sent without one is anonymous, which also means we cannot find it again later to delete it on your say-so, because there is nothing in it that is yours. Nothing you send by either route goes to a third party.

Asking what we hold about you, asking for a correction to it, or asking for it to be deleted is a different kind of request, with its own route and its own contact. The Privacy Notice says what is collected, how long each record is kept, and where to send that request so it reaches the right person.
